Boost Math Instruction and Engagement with G Suite (Elementary)
"**This workshop is for Elementary Teachers (3rd - Grade 6) Struggling with how to bring technology in math classrooms? How do you use technology when typing math expressions is so difficult? In this workshop, we will explore the many tools available for math educators to help students become engaged in their learning and make the use of technology in mathematics seamless. From creating math worksheets effectively to artwork graphing, we look at apps, extensions, add-ons, and web tools that help create interactive and meaningful math opportunities and focus on deep understanding.

Workshop Outcomes
Understand how technology can deepen your students' understanding of mathematics allowing them to play with math concepts easier.
Balance demands of a math classroom (practice with exploration).
Use Apps & Websites systems to help students take control of their learning and self-assess.
Allow students to explore mathematics, make connections and deepen understanding based on examples of lessons, units and activities."

This hands-on workshop features how we can integrate technology into the math classroom for 7th-12th grade. Come learn the ins-and-outs of these tools that allow math concepts to be learned and showcased so that we can best support student learning outcomes and provide meaningful feedback. We will be exploring how these tools, apps and websites can promote collaboration, deep understanding and learning with students on a daily basis.

Forms & Sheets for the Techie Teacher
Learn how to collect data from students, parents, and teachers in a more efficient way with the newest version of Google Forms! We will get you creating your own forms, and explore a variety of uses for them, whether you are a classroom teacher or a school administrator. A laptop or Chromebook device is required for this session. The second part of this workshop will focus on using Forms in even more creative ways. You’re going to fall in love with Forms all over again in the second half of this session. We’ll take a look at some “outside the box” uses of Forms, learning a variety of tips and tricks to help build Amazing Races, Choose Your Own Adventure stories, Digital BreaktoutEDU games, “Impossible to Fail” quizzes, and more! You will be amazed at the flexibility and versatility of this one, easy-to-learn, easy-to-use Google tool!
