Recently Google released several new geo tools designed to help connect people to places and beyond. These new tools have the potential to change how teachers teach and students learn about their communities and the world as a whole. Most people have heard of Google Maps and Earth, but there is a rich suite of other Google Geo applications that provide a toolset for geospatial learning. This workshop will introduce and describe how to use Maps, My Maps, Street View, Tour Builder, Cultural Institute, Photospheres, and Cardboard to create these interactive and engaging learning opportunities. Participants will be actively involved in creating maps, tours, and other projects as they learn about the powerful features of each tool. By the end of this workshop, you will have a solid understanding of how these tools can be used in your classroom.
