Gearing Up with Google: Intermediate-Advanced Docs, Drive and Classroom
So you've been using Google Classroom for the past year, but now you're ready to move beyond the basics? Are you sick of only using it as a "Digital Photocopier"? Maybe you just want to see what new features have been added to the tool over the past couple of months? Come learn how to take your students' learning to the next level in Classroom, all while giving them the freedom to easily create, curate, and collaborate along with their classmates on any assignment! It's time for Google Classroom, 2.0! Beyond Classroom we will explore lesson design in Google Docs, and advanced background design for your Google Drive.
Workshop Outcomes
Use Google Classroom to create formative and/or summative assessments.
Facilitate long-term student projects using Google Classroom.
Incorporate rubrics and standards based grading into Google Classroom assignments.
Create no-hassle student digital portfolios.
If students have access to mobile devices, attendees will learn how the app can be used to transform field trips/outside of the classroom learning.
